Our trip to
Cardiff to see the All Blacks play Wales was
organised months ago by Nicol Enterprises Travel Agents (aka Justine, Tenille and Sian). I was hesitant about heading off on a rugby tour, seeing as I couldn’t tell
you if the hooker was fumbling his tackle or not, but I figured that I couldn’t go wrong with a weekend away with a
bunch of kiwis.

We caught
the train on Saturday morning and arrived in wet, cold Cardiff at about noon. We arrived at the hotel and after a late lunch of McDs, the 15 of us settled into
the hotel bar while we waited for our rooms and then for the bus into town.

Me and Justine - go black! |
The afternoon
was pretty miserable and it was getting dark already when we got dropped off near the stadium just after 3. We were heading for a pub to warm up before the 5:30 kick-off, but some sharp-eyed kiwis found something even better
– the Cardiff Indoor Bowling Club! They were offering temporary memberships
for just £1. I was sceptical but we ended up having a ball. The club was full of older men wearing red shirts but everyone was very friendly.
