Then, Christmas Day, I spent
in a state I reckon I well deserved after a busy year - asleep until 2:30pm!! Ah yes, what a way to spend Christmas Day! We weren't really celebrating on the 25th, as Danny and his girlfriend
Melanie had two other Christmas dinners to attend that day, and so the Schneiders planned to celebrate on the 26th. This was fine for me and Mounia and I spent the entire day in our pyjamas watching
television! We had leftovers for dinner, with more wine, and then watched more
TV and then Harry Potter (in French of course), until about 2am.
And then, when I woke early
on Boxing Day (at about 11am), it had snowed overnight! There was about 10cm
of snow on the ground, and it was beautiful! A real Christmas picture. And exactly
what happened nine years earlier, when I was living there. I was most disappointed
in 1995 that it snowed the day after Christmas, but at least this time, we were
pretending the 26th was Christmas Day, and so - we had snow for Christmas!

The Schneider's house in the snow! |

Mounia and Oka taking a walk in the snow |
Mounia and I managed to get
out of our pyjamas today and took Oka, the family's
gorgeous cocker spaniel, out for a walk in the snow. He had a thoroughly enjoyable
time, even though by the end of it, he could barely walk straight because of the huge snowballs stuck to the long hairs of
his coat!
